Fallout 3 Tutorial – The Early Years

Welcome to Fallout 3! Before you step into the game, Bethesda’s developers have developed quite an interesting tutorial method. The game will present you with flashbacks detailing the birth and growth of your character from an infant and into a young adult. The process is divided into three main stages which culminate in an epic conclusion that triggers the official start of the game.

Appearance and name are simply there for the benefit of players, while gender (aside from being a player preference) also determines if NPCs will refer to you as a he or a she. After which, players get to start the first three quests of the game.
