Fallout 3 – Wasteland Survival Guide

This is one of the longest quests in the game, but it also has some of the most humorous and information packed events you will ever come across. Fallout 3 – Following His Footsteps

Once you are out of the vault, the first place you should head out to is Megaton –that giant towering dome of junk. There will be a ruined town just to your left, but you can ignore that for now. Anyway, Megaton is a sleepy little town of wasteland survivors protected by the polite and dutiful Deputy Weld (a Mr. Protectron robot) in front and a sniper from above.

Fallout 3 – Power of the Atom

There is a giant bomb in the middle of Megaton and someone has to take of it.

Finding this quest is easy, either by talking to Lucas Simms upon first entering Megaton or through Mr. Burke at Moriarty’s Saloon. Like many other quests in the game, your decisions in this matter will heavily dictate your gameplay throughout the game. This quest requires that players have at least 25 explosives skill in order to interact with the Megaton bomb (if you have a slightly lower skill, using drugs will help).

There are two ways to solve this issue, one is by disarming the bomb, which makes everyone happy (except for Mr. Burke) and result in you attaining plenty of positive karma, the gratitude of Megaton’s dwellers an most importantly, a home to call your own.

Taking on the entirety of Fallout 3 can be quite a daunting experience; it is a massive game with so many elements at work that trying to keep up with it all can easily drown a new player with the stats, quests, missions, numbers and factors.
